Peter Pickett has been a member of the Lexington Brass Band since 2004 playing Eb soprano cornet. Peter is a mechanical engineering manager with Lexmark as well as proprietor of Pickett Brass, a trumpet mouthpiece and accessory manufacturer. He has performed with Saxton’s Cornet Band, the Central Kentucky Concert Band, the Lexington Philharmonic, the Lexington Community Orchestra, and is a founding member of the Bluegrass Brass Trio.

Phillip Chase Hawkins, a graduate of Eastman School of Music (both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees), is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Kentucky. He is a member of the UK Faculty Brass Quintet and the Graduate Teaching Assistant for the trumpet studio. In 2011, he placed second in the National Trumpet Competition, Graduate Division. Originally from Spartanburg (SC), Phillip enjoys composition and arranging and has performed with the Eastman Wind Ensemble and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
