Salute to James Curnow

Perhaps no other living composer in Kentucky has had his music more widely performed and recorded. Curnow’s music for winds, brass, and orchestra features prominently in concerts by educational, amateur, and professional ensembles from Japan to Australia to Europe and, of course, the United States. This concert will share a representative slice of his best music for brass and percussion, including such works as the commissioned Olympic Fanfare and Theme for the Olympic Flag first heard at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and at subsequent venues.
