LBB Announces 2009-2010 Season

The Lexington Brass Band continues to offer quality programs of wide interest performed by outstanding brass musicians and guest musicians. Our carefully timed, scripted, one-hour concerts receive high marks and praise from our audience.  We need your help, too, to spread the word about one of the great entertainment packages in Central Kentucky.

Dance, Flourish and Fantasy

The Lexington Brass Band, joined by the Lexington Chamber Chorale, present their exciting season finale, Dance, Flourish and Fantasy. Dances from the Renaissance pavan to the modern tango step front and center on the sound stage in this dynamic, collaborative concert.  (more info)

‘Tis the Season 2008

The Lexington Brass Band and guest artists from the Center for Old Music present Old Time Yule: ‘Tis the Season 2008, a feast of holiday music blending ancient and modern sounds on Sunday, December 7, at 4:00 p.m., Calvary Baptist Church. (more info)

LBB Opens Season On Main Street

During the concert the band will offer a Brass Band Primer, with brief demonstrations of the various instruments in the British-style brass band. Two spectacular works then further showcase the timbres of the band: Eric Ball’s Main Street: Variations for Brass Band, and Ray Farr’s Intrada: Ein’ Feste Burg. (more info)
